2026 Summer Classic Schedule (to be posted no later than Wed, Aug 26)
Format:
4-Team brackets play 3 group games (one against each opponent) plus a playoff game (the two teams with the most and second most points after the group games play each other in the final for the championship, while the teams with the third & fourth most points after the group games play each other for third place)
5-Team brackets play 4 group games (one against each opponent in the bracket). The team with the most points will be considered the champion, while the team with the second most points will be considered the runner up (aka finalist).
6-Team brackets play 3 group games, plus a playoff game. For the group games, all teams in Bracket A play all teams in Bracket B. Playoff opponents are determined after group games to decide the 4th (playoff) game, for the championship, third place, and 5th place games.
8-Team brackets play 3 round-robin group games one against each opponent plus a playoff game (the standings after the 3 round-robin matches determines the opponent in the cross-over playoff game; the top team of the first bracket plays the top team of the second bracket for the championship; the 2nd team from the first bracket plays the 2nd team from the second bracket for 3rd place, the 3rd team from the first bracket plays the 3rd team from the second bracket for 5th place, and the 4th team from the first bracket plays the 4th team from the second bracket for 7th place). This way each team gets to play 4 different opponents.
